Finding Ideas and Developing Ideas
Since our short film is going to be about bullying, I have decided to find some ideas on the internet. By doing that I looked at some short films that are about bullying, the most viewed one was this video here above 'Bullying short film - Sticks & Stones'. As I was watching through this short film, I got some ideas of the locations they used and also the story of how the character gets bullied. Most of the time bullying happens in school and they mainly get bullied because they are weak, or someone random in the school can get bullied because the bully/bullies want attention.
Since most bullying short films are set in a school, or the the victim/character gets bullied in a school without the audience seeing, I have decided to do something different where someone gets bullied elsewhere other than in a school. At the start of my short film it will most probably be set in a field, or an alley way and it be in the evening. A teenage boy is walking back home from his part-time job and since it's getting late he decides to take a short cut by going down/across the alleyway/field. As he is walking down/across the alleyway/field there are some boys with hoodies on and they are bored, so as a bit of time passes by, the teenager spots them and decides to slowly walk back. The bullies can see the teenager walking away from them and to entertain themselves by chasing the teenager. The bullies eventually catch him and then bully him.
This screenshot that I have taken above is from, http://www.bullybeware.com/faq/bullying/59-what-are-the-different-kinds-of-bullies.html I used this website to tell me the different kinds of bullies out there and what type of bully can I use to give to my actor as the bully.
